...We're glad you're here!
Welcome to Crescendo Farms
We are a small, private breeder/owner of KNN main-book Danish Knabstruppers, in Southern California!
As one of the world's most mistaken breeds, the Knabstrupper is often overlooked as an Appaloosa (a distant historically related cousin), and not easily recognized in the show ring by those who encounter them. As of 2020, there are roughly around 3,000 registered Danish Knabstruppers worldwide, with about 300 of them in North America. Those numbers have increased substantially in the last decade, with small independent programs (such as ours...) popping up around the world.

What is a Knabstrupper?
A Knabstrupper is a Warmblood; founded in Denmark in 1812. Unlike the modern Appaloosa, Knabstruppers lack in Stock horse breeding, and are primarily paired with other European Warmbloods, Thoroughbreds and comparable lineage; to achieve a well-rounded, often sport-type (or Baroque/classical) conformation for English-based performance excellence.
Knabstruppers are versatile for any major discipline...including: Jumping, dressage, driving, trail, lining, classical airs, and a few are even known to enjoy western games!
